How I Play
If I’m not at work, I am likely outdoors where I’ve lately traded in surfing and snowboarding for tennis. I’ve dabbled in printmaking on a 100-year-old Griffin etching press. And, oh yeah, I play the healer Lucio in Overwatch on PS5.
the sliding life
Growing up in Lake Tahoe, we learned to ski right about the time we started kindergarten. Fifteen years later, I came back to California from Colorado for my first job in the action sports industry. From San Clemente to San Francisco I discovered a life of surf riding and snowboarding that 8-year-old me could have only imagined.
and then came tennis
These days you’re more likely to find me on a tennis court. I play 2-3 times per week and co-captain USTA teams at the local level. I watch an unreasonable amount of Grand Slam tennis and have been to the U.S. Open, Indian Wells, and Monte Carlo Masters. Next up are the Australian Open and Roland Garros.
Art for fun
One fun summer, I learned to make monotypes. It took 4 of us to get the etching press into my basement. I then wandered around Oakland with my dog Scout and a 14x17 inch sketch pad. The sketches were inked in reverse, in order to be right-reading when pressed onto crisp white paper.
healers rule
If that’s not nerdy enough, I’m a Lucio main in Overwatch on PS5. I can heal my team while booping enemies off the map. The thumb speed of a 10-year-old might get me to Platinum, but it’s more likely I’ll be stuck in Silver forever and that’s OK too.
Thanks for your interest in me! If you add me to your Creative leadership team, I’ll foster an environment of cohesion and collaboration while driving excellence in creative for your business. As Lucio would say, “Accelerando!”
